Honduras Mission Trip 2007
We give God the glory for what He did in Ojojona, Honduras during our recent mission trip, March 11-18, 2007. Our mission team included a total of 29 people from Kentucky, Indiana, Alabama, North Carolina, and Minnesota. We worked with the Baptist Pastor Christian Romero and we were under the supervision of BMDMI Missionaries ( www.bmdmi.org), Sam and Peggy Feazel.
How glorious it was for 206 people to accept Jesus as Savior! 58 professions of faith were made during the Tent Services; 101 were made during Children’s Church; one was made in the Medical Clinic; 40 were made during the Youth Classes; 6 were from Personal Evangelism. There were 26 rededications; 25 were during the Tent Services and one in Personal Evangelism.
The Medical Clinic treated 2695 patients.
Six people were referred to the Project Life program.
The Pharmacy dispensed 10,780 prescriptions.
The Optical Clinic saw 760 patients. They dispensed 275 used eyeglasses, 354 readers, and 916 sunglasses.
The Dental Clinic treated 220 patients and extracted 393 teeth. They performed one cleaning and two exams.
There were seven sessions in the high school with a total of 380 students.
There were eight sessions of Children’s Church with a total of 1121. The average class attendance was 140.
There were 1500 pairs of shoes given out in the Shoe Ministry. 60 people received foot-washing.
We took/distributed 960 New Testaments, 780 complete Bibles, 400 New Believer’s Books, and various tracts. Many of these were left for the local church and others to distribute.
The kitchen crew made sure we all (including the missionaries, national staff, translators, guards, and others) were well fed.
This small team of 29 gave over $9000 to purchase land for the Baptist Church in Ojojona. God is good!
To God Be The Glory!!!
