Dear Mr. Kendall,
I'm Echo's mother. I thank you for praying for her dad, my husband. Kal is home after a two-week hospital stay. He is much better. Thank you for your prayers. He still cannot walk and is on heavy doses of antibiotics. God is good and we're trusting Him for a shorter recovery time than the doctors predict. We so appreciate you taking Kal to the Throne of Grace.
Your machine and computer program so improved our eyeglass ministry in Swaziland. Echo said you'd appreciate a testimonial. Here it is:
The Kendall Optometry Ministry has greatly helped The Luke Commission's ministry in Swaziland, Africa.
During September and October, 2006, our medical teams treated 7,100 patients in 27 mobile clinics, out in the bush far away from any other medical care. More than 2,700 Swazis were fitted with prescriptions or reading glasses.
“I can see again!” we heard over and over again. Holland Kendall supplied us with a wonderful device to analyze each Swazi's eye problem. Then we were able to use Kendall's computer programs to locate just the right pair of eyeglasses in our inventory.
It was thrilling to watch someone who may not have seen clearly for years brighten at the sights around him or to witness a child who could see the print in a book for the first time.
We count is a privilege to partner with Kendall Optometry Ministry to help precious souls in poor countries like Swaziland. This tiny country in southern Africa has the highest AIDS rate in the world - 42% - and the lowest life expectancy - 32 years.
The best news is that we watched 2,341 Swazis accept Jesus Christ! We have names and locations for everyone. Six of our faithful translators have agreed to work 3 days a week for The Luke Commission discipling these new believers.
The Luke Commission can buy inexpensive reading glasses, but please send us your old prescription classes. We need to restock our inventory (PO Box 1335, Sagle, Idaho 83860) for our return in March and April, 2007.
Again we are grateful to Kendall Optometry Ministry for their part in reaching these dear ones for Jesus. Swazis are dying in epidemic proportions from AIDS. They need to hear the Gospel now.

Kendall,
I am sorry we have not been able to respond sooner. This week illness hit many on our team. One is in the ICU and in need of prayer.
We have attached some pics. I hope this helps. We will have a full report summary soon. We almost have the DVD summary complete. We will be able to send you a copy when it is complete.
Again, you have no idea how thankful we are for the part you played in this ministry. We are excited about what we have witnessed.
Sincerely, Echo
