Scanning glasses into inventory database and putting them into inventory trays.
Checking equipment before heading
to Kenya.
Transfer ring our existing inventory to the new trays.
Examing a patient with the auto-refractor.
A happy patient with new glasses. He is able to clearly see both near and far.

The Blessing of Vision
Kendall Optometry Ministry Testimonial
Mission Partners Kenya, an Aldersgate United Methodist Church (Evansville, IN) outreach and partnership with Riakong'a Methodist Church and Friends of Dago, Inc., has been using the services of Kendall Optometry Ministry, Inc. (KOM) since 2010. Holland Kendall and his team have been an extremely helpful resource and partner in our medical mission work to Kenya.
They provide excellent support in:
• providing supplies and inventory
• training and support in the use and care of the auto-refractor and other equipment
• advising on the maintenance and upkeep of our inventory and database management
And are always available by phone or Skype whether we're in the States or remote in Kenya. We recently updated to the plastic inventory boxes as our 7-year old cardboard boxes had deteriorated beyond the point of being useful. KOM worked with us every step of the way in this process and in updating our inventory.
The ingenious inventory and database program that Holland Kendall has developed makes dispensing used, prescription eyeglasses a very fast and efficient process. We are able to see up to ten patients per hour using this system. The ability to immediately pull the best pair of glasses from an inventory of 2,000 is amazing. KOM provides everything we need, including the PC with the program and database already loaded.
We strongly recommend Kendall Optometry Ministry to anyone looking to start an
optometry mission program.
Sincerely,
Lynn Renne
