Jamaica, 2014
Below are some reports from the team leader, Kay Kammel. Since I knew that an optometrist had traveled with them, I asked Kay about his reaction to the system. Check out the response.

Our optometrist was surprised and pleased with the kit. I think that was my favorite "ah-ha" moment this summer. Once we took him through our clinic process that first morning and fitted him with a perfect match he became a "believer" :) He had never seen a system like this or the adjustable glasses that we had brought along. His only experience in a optometry mission was with 8 other optometrist and he said it took them all day to accomplish what we were able to in an hour or two. He was a blessing to our team and did much evangelism during the week.
I have been talking with a friend who teaches in the school system in Jamaica and we are hoping to bring the eye clinic into the school. She has to clear it with several officials but if we get the okay it would mean finding a larger inventory of children's glasses. It sounds very favorable. It is a school of 1000 children ages 4-12. What do you think we would need for our inventory? Is it possible to get just children's glasses?. I have contacted a lions club to see if they could help--they thought they could help some but I have not investigated enough to know if they barcode the glasses the same and I would like input from you on this.
I was also wondering how much each pair of the field assembly glasses cost? I am not sure if that is the best option but I am just needing some direction and wanting to get a some resources in line ahead of time.
Thank you so much and God bless,
Kay

Dear Holland,
Here are some photos from our recent trip to Jamaica. We had a very successful week and were able to see over 400 people come through the clinic. The attached pictures show the clinic and some of our work there.
We work through our sister church in Savannah La Mar and the clinic has had a great impact on the community there. It has not only helped eye sight but has drawn people to the church and to a relationship in Christ.
Thank you again for providing this tool to and impacting people in so many ways.
Blessings,
Kay
